For example: In LinkedIn the “85% complete” progress bar in profiles causes the users to strive for that perfect 100% completed task.

Communal Discovery
is the dynamic wherein an entire community is rallied to work together to solve a challenge.
For example: Digg.com uses the community to bubble up the best stories.
